Obituary:  Gaffney-- Viola Williams Scruggs,87, of Route 3, widow of Brackett Scruggs, died Friday in Spartanburg General Hospital after a long illness. Native of Cherokee County ; daughter of the late William ( Sug ) and Amanda Ellison Williams; member of Crestview Baptist Church , a housewife.

Surviving daughters, Mrs. Frances Culbreth of Cowpens, Mrs. Roxie Clary and Mrs. Margaret Melton of Gaffney; sons, Logan and Harry Scruggs of Cowpens, J.B. Scruggs of Gaffney; 26 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.

Services 3 Sunday at Crestview Baptist Church by the Revs. Dan Kerr, Clarence Hampton, burial in New Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery . Grandsons will be pallbearers. Family is at the home of a daughter, Roxie Clary, Gaffney Route 3, to receive friends 7- 9 tonight at Forest Lawn Mortuary. Body in church at 2:30 Sunday.

Obituary:  Chesnee, July 2.- Alvin Williams, 36, died at his home on Gaffney Route 3 at 6 this morning.
Funeral services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Thursday at New Pleasant Baptist Church by the Rev. Jesse W. Sprinkle, assisted by the Rev. B.A. James, pastor of the church, and the Rev. W.B. Buckner of York .
Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Surviving are 2 brothers, William H. Williams of Gaffney and Joe W. Williams of Gaffney Route 3; and a sister, Mrs. Viola Bloodworth of Gaffney Route 3.

Active pallbearers at the funeral will be Carlos Williams, Elford Fowler, Amos Jolly, John Ellison, Boyce Martin and James Scruggs. The Blackwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Surviving are four sons; Clyde and Luther, both of Chesnee, Julius of Startex, and Lawrence Williams of Johnson City, Tenn.; One brother, Marion Smith of Spartanburg ; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. MILWAUKEE-- Ananies Williams, 70, of Milwaukee, died November 11, 1997, at
St. Joseph Hospital here.
Born November 26, 1926, at Douglas, Arkansas, he was a son of the late
Willie Williams and Lizzie B. (Kimble) Williams.
He was a steel mill laborer and a Baptist.
Survivors include a brother, C.D. Williams of St. Louis; and three sisters,
Ora Mae Williams of St. Louis, Willie Mae Allen of Gould, Arkansas, and Nancy
Goodman of Chicago.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home of
Pine Bluff with Rev. G.L. Ford officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn
Cemetery at Pine Bluff.

Obituary:  Gaffney- Annie Mae Williams, 71, of Pacolet Care Center , died May 25 1991, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center . A native of Spartanburg , she was the widow of Forrest Williams and daughter of the late Leonard and Ida Cannon. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include one daughter, Marjorie Price of Gaffney; two sons, Paul Williams of Atlanta , Ga. , and Belton Williams of Easley; three brothers, Gene, Grove and Walter Cannon all of Spartanburg ; one sister, Laura Bell Crumpton of Pickens; and 13 grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Oakland Cemetery . The family is at the home of her daughter, Marjorie Price, 1110 Corinth Road , Gaffney, where they will receive friends. Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home in Gaffney is in charge of arrangements
